Bakersfield is like an amalgam of blue-collar America, though particularly Texas and Oklahoma, but its looking a lot like the rustier parts of the Midwest makes some sense.
The Black Widows sound like Eric von Zipper’s gang (‘Ratz & Mice’?) from A.I.P.’s ‘Beach Party’ movies.
