Netflix Orders ‘Ghostbusters’ Animated Series, Elliott Kalan as Showrunner

Netflix has officially greenlit a new Ghostbusters animated series with Elliott Kalan serving as writer, showrunner, and executive producer. The 3D animated series will be tonally in line with recent Ghostbusters films and is produced by Sony Pictures Animation in partnership with Flying Bark Productions. Kalan brings extensive Emmy-winning writing experience from his time as head writer of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (4 Emmy wins, 7 nominations) and his work on the Netflix revival of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
